Description
All HBASE members and guests are invited to attend this year’s May Membership Meeting and Government Night. This is one of HBASE’s most well attended membership meetings of the year as it gives our members the chance to visit face to face with city officials on housing related topics that affect our industry on a day to day basis.
SPEAKER: Rich Naser, President of the Zeal Center for Entrepreneurship will be our featured speaker for the evening.
TOPIC: Growing Sioux Falls' Economy Through Innovation and Entrepreneurship
This presentation will provide an overview and update on Forward Sioux Fall’s efforts to diversify and grow the Sioux Falls economy through the entrepreneurship and innovation. The Zeal (formerly the SDTBC) is an entrepreneurship center to provides incubation, acceleration, networking, access to capital and other services to support scalable and high-growth startups in Sioux Falls. The USD Discovery District is an 80-acre innovation community being developed adjacent to University Center Sioux Falls that will bring together students, faculty, entrepreneurs, innovators and researcher in a collaborative environment that foster the development and attraction of research based companies. At completion, the District will include 26 buildings totaling more than 1.1 million sq. ft. of space housing 2,800 employees.
